The island has also the lowest percentage of crime in comparison with the rest of Europe especially where home safety and burglary is concerned, thus giving another important factor or home owners. Crete is a fascinating island due to its variety: The sea and the high mountain ranges (more than 2.400m), well developed tourism areas and lonely mountain villages with a traditional way of life, but wherever you are, you can feel the influenceof the important past. |

The project We have chosen the name "Minoan Hills" for our project out of respect for Cretan history. The different types of villas will have names from the Cretan-Minoan world of gods and faith. The intention of our project is to develop a neighbourhood consisting of exclusive stone built villas in traditional Cretan building style that also take into account the needs of modern living. There will be a total of 7 stone villas, each one with a plot of land of at least 500m². The properties will be independent but each one will be a part of the whole development due to the same building style, but each will have a different architecture. The development does not include common areas like swimming pools, taverns etc. because we do not wish to create a place with the philosophy of an organized hotel complex. The villas will be residences fi tting into the Cretan landscape. |
